You make this event possible! Each troop is asked to provide one volunteer to help support the Highest Award Ceremony in some capacity.

There are also many behind-the-scene support positions needed BEFORE the event. These opportunities run between April and May. Below is a description of several volunteer positions. Bronze Certificate Prep
Use provided template in Power Point to place Girl Scout name and troop number. Print out certificates and return to Event Coordinator. Great for someone with access to a color laser printer. Estimated 50 certificates.
Letter Writing – Girl Scout Silver Awards
Contacting Middle School Principals from pre-established template to acquire letters or certificates for Girl Scout Silver Award recipient portfolios. Follow-up via email and phone for those offices who haven’t responded. Arrange to acquire certificates who prefer to have them picked up.
Letter Writing – Girl Scout Gold Awards
Contacting High School Principals and Mayor Offices (based on city of residence) from pre-established template to acquire letters or certificates for Girl Scout Gold Award recipient portfolios. Follow-up via email and phone for those offices who haven’t responded. Arrange to acquire certificates who prefer to have them picked up.
Slide Presentation
Collect photos of 10 Year Girls Scouts, Graduating Girl Scouts, Gold, Silver and Bronze Award Girl Scouts. Create a PowerPoint from submitted photos and information. Place ppt on flash drive and give to SUM to use during the event.
Girl Scout Silver Award Portfolio Assembly
Insert Girl Scout Silver Award Certificate and School letter/certificate, and SUM note. Arrange folders by troop/first name.
